I have a love/hate relationship with Carter's. I love their clothes because they're inexpensive, they're comfy, and they've got all the basics covered. I hate their clothes because they say stupid things on them like "Mommy's Little Rose" and "BABY" (which always makes me want to wear a shirt that says "ADULT"). Case in point: We bought Elliot a little pants and long-sleeved onesie outfit from Carter's that has the cutest little penguins on the shirt. The penguins are all bundled in winter clothes and are listening to headphones. But, underneath the penguins it says "MOMMY'S LITTLE CUTIE". Why the hell is that necessary? Why can't the penguins be enough?
I am into Old Navy clothes right now for Elliot because she's already fitting in their 3-6 month sizes and because they're cheap. They're also cheaply made, but that doesn't matter to me so much at this point because she's not actually wearing through her clothing. The clothes are cute, but also hip. All the other hip clothes I've seen are ridiculously expensive.
Speaking of expensive, I also adore Janie & Jack and Hanna Andersson clothing but I cannot bring myself to buy her much more than that holiday dress I mentioned last week. When she's older and doesn't grow out of her clothes as much, maybe I'll start shopping the outlet more (we have one nearby). Hannas are very high quality and wear/wash well. I've only bought from the sale rack at Janie & Jack. They're just so darn expensive!
I did make a wonderful little discovery last week at Nordstrom Rack. All the high end kids' clothes from the stores are marked way down. I found Ralph Lauren and Zutano clothes for $5-$10. And I bought Elliot a little Columbia fleece jacket for this winter for $15.
It's not important to me that she have brand name clothes. I just want her clothes to reflect her (and my) personality!
What are your favorite baby/kids' clothes and why?
I really love the Roxy brand childrens clothes. My little girls love the cool and comfortable style! My favorite store online is http://www.Sandboxcouture.com
My daughter is 9 and has been really hard on her clothes (butt & knees especially). I would try to get things at Old Navy but she would wear through them so fast. So I tried supplementing the less expensive clothes with some Lands End clothes. They are more expensive but I can get them to last at least a whole season. It's nice they have them at Sears so I can bring her to try them on. If you get them in Sears at the end of the season you can get pretty good deals.
well for kids i like flower girl dresses , they are just so cute i have bought many for my sweety pie .

Naartjie is my favorite. You can get some good deals when they have sales. I just can't get enough of the cute prints and pants/shirt sets. They are adorable, wash well and are super soft! I'm a big fan!
