Growth Chart

I attended a baby clothing swap this weekend and, while I walked away with only one pair of shorts for my nephew, I also came home with a nifty growth chart. Some woman who makes them had a few extra that she dropped off at the swap. It's so easy that I kind-of want to make my own.

Here's how you do it:

  • Get a 1" by 4" board and have it cut about 6 feet tall (or so)
  • Prime it and then paint it whatever color you want
  • Measure and mark 'feet' from the bottom of the board to the top. Feel free to add tick marks for each inch
  • Paint your own designs! (The one I got has dragonflies at the 1/2-feet marks and mushrooms at each foot mark)
  • Put picture-hanging hardware on the back so you can take it with you when you move!

The yellow chart that I got matches Elliot's room, but I kind-of like the idea of it being truly homemade. I am not at all crafty, but I may actually be able to do this project!

I'll help! I have all the crafty stuff, paints, stamps, stencils, big ruler.....etc!
