Small toy stores are just the best, aren't they? The owners really think about what toys are best for kids-- what will they play with? What will stimulate their minds? Small toy stores are the best places to find the best toys.

Kitchen Set My favorite toy store is Piccolo Mondo Toys in the Bethany neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon. It is conveniently located in the same business complex as Elliot's pediatrician. Visiting the doctor can be a traumatic experience for both mom and baby, so a stop at the toy store afterwards is a nice way to make both of us feel better. (There's also a Starbucks)

The reason I adore this toy store is because it's not full of Fisher-Price plastic crap that lines the shelves of Toys 'R Us and Target. For babies, there are a lot of Haba and Manhattan toys. The toys are conveniently organized, too.Wheely Bee I know to head straight for the baby toys when I walk in the door, but there are also sections of the store for little girls who like imaginary play, little boys who like construction, etc. There are games, magic, puzzles, outdoor toys, arts & crafts, musical toys and books. It's a toy store that I hope we visit for years and years.

On top of the great toys, there are also events at the store for children. There are family game nights, music nights, and story time, to name a few.

Piccolo Mondo Toys: MAP. If you can't get in to the store, a small number of the toys are also sold online.

That's really cool that you like that store it is really quite a neat place. I live less than a mile from there and I walk right by that store all the time. I spend way too much at that Starbucks across the way too. My daughter also goes to that same pediatricians office. Small world huh?
