This avocado pizza recipe sounded really good. It's simple: it calls for avocado in place of tomato sauce. I blended up a ripe avocado, spread it out on a ready-made pizza crust, sprinkled on mozzarella, sliced mini tomatoes and chicken sausage.
Unfortunately, the avocado drowns out all the other tastes and makes the entire pizza taste bland. The consistency of the avocado spread is a bit thick, like peanut butter.
I tried it a second time with homemade pesto instead of the avocado and it was much better.
